NTMir Announces Education Physician Speakers and Topics for ParticipACTION 2007

On Monday, March 12, 2007 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm, NTMir will host an Education Session with two keynote physician speakers.

Dr. Steven Holland of the National Institutes of Health in Washington, D.C. will speak on the topic of research.  Dr. Holland will discuss a range of topics from basic research to clinical trials and therapies for patients.  Dr. Holland will explain the research process from its conceptual stages to final results and should be a very enlightening educational experience.

Dr. David Lynch from National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver, Colorado will discuss the evolving role of radiology in the diagnosis and ongoing management of pulmonary NTM disease.  Technology is changing, and so too are the tools available to physicians.  Dr. Lynch will discuss the importance of technological change in the radiology field as well as the significance of using technology to monitor pulmonary NTM disease before clinical decline occurs.

NTM Info & Research, Inc. (NTMir), a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed on behalf of patients with pulmonary nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) disease, will hold its second national advocacy and education event in Washington, D.C. March 12-13, 2007.

This event will bring NTM patients to exciting meetings on Capitol Hill and provide a great opportunity to help themselves and others suffering with pulmonary NTM disease.

If you have not already registered, please visit the ParticipACTION 2007 webpage to learn about this wonderful and uplifting experience.
